PARADISE  ZIP

The first integrated cultural space of Paradise Culture Foundation Paradise ZIP opened its doors in September 2016, in the form of a renovated old house in the alleyways of Jangchung-dong. The antique house, over 80 years old, was reborn as a space of culture, sculpted by the trace of time.
Paradise ZIP aims to bring together a wide range of interdisciplinary cultural contents into a compact and condensed form as a zip file and to become a space as a house, where anyone is welcome to meet the various cultural contents of visual art, music, and performance.
Architect Seung H-Sang Constructs ZIP. ZIP Continues.

“When a place of narrative meets an artwork, they create a unique synergy that presents an echo in the hearts of many. Endowing an old house with the function of museum falls under the same context. Of course there were many limitations. It’s not painting on an empty canvas, but painting on an already folded paper. It was a constant process of making one choice after another. Whether I should paint or not, or which parts I should keep. Countless cases of contemplation made the Paradise ZIP today.”
